About

Marc Molinaro has built a reputation as a problem-solver — taking on tough challenges and delivering results for the communities he serves. Through years of hands-on leadership, he has developed deep expertise in economic policy, infrastructure, human services, and government reform, with a focus on making government work better for taxpayers.

Now, Molinaro is returning to New York State politics and running for the 102nd Assembly District to tackle the affordability crisis facing families across the state. New York has become too expensive for too many families. Property taxes, energy costs, housing, groceries, and everyday expenses are squeezing families, farmers, seniors on fixed incomes, and young families trying to build a future here. Albany continues to push policies that drive up costs, burden small businesses, and make it harder for rural and Upstate communities to compete and grow.

Molinaro believes affordability must be the top priority. Molinaro previously served as a member of Congress representing New York’s 19th District, Administrator of the Federal Transit Administration, Dutchess County Executive, a member of the New York State Assembly, and Mayor of Tivoli. He and his wife reside in Catskill and are the proud parents of four children, one of whom lives on the autism spectrum. Informed by his family's experience, Molinaro founded the Think DIFFERENTLY initiative to support individuals with disabilities.
