Molinaro Slams NYC Budget Bailout

CATSKILL, NY — Marc Molinaro released the following statement after Governor Kathy Hochul and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani announce plan to plug New York City’s multibillion-dollar budget gap:

“Higher taxes. Raiding pension funds. Pretending there’s no cost to the rest of New York. Albany is bailing out New York City on the backs of everyone else — and Upstate is expected to just take it. We are not an ATM for their failed policies and political fantasies.

“Families Upstate are already getting crushed by utility bills, property taxes, and the loss of good-paying jobs. Instead of relief, Albany hands us the bill for New York City’s dysfunction and another ideological wish list.

“And when Upstate asks where our help is? They’ll probably say it got lost in the mail.
“The rot in Albany runs deep. This November, voters need to hold every single person accountable who signed onto this corrupt giveaway.”
